Project overview
BiosanaPharma is making biologics affordable and accessible for all patients. With their innovative continuous process they are creating a unique and highly competitive product portfolio of mAb biosimilars.

BiosanaPharma asked Schuttelaar & Partners to renew their corporate identity and redesign their website.

My role was to design the user experience (UX) and visual design of the website, ensuring that it reflected BiosanaPharma's mission and vision. I also contributed in designing the new corporate identity.

The design
One of the challenges of the project was to create depth into the design, which we achieved by adding parallax scroll on graphical elements. This made the website look more dynamic and engaging for the user. Another challenge was to make the website look professional and authentic, so we advised to use high-quality photos taken by a professional photographer.
Graphic elements
To reflect BiosanaPharma's field of expertise, I incorporated a graphical element of an antibody, which also added a playful touch to the overall visual style. In the webdesign I also added a background grain, to reflect the substance of a medicine. The webdesign is clean and modern, which aligns with the client's new corporate identity.

Overall, this project was a great success, and the BiosanaPharma team was very pleased with the end result. I am proud to have been a part of this project, and I believe that the website's design effectively communicates BiosanaPharma's mission and vision to its users.
My declined logo proposal
Below a screenshot of a logo idea I designed that unfortunately did not make it. The initial briefing from the client was that the logo should contain two elements: a visualisation of medicine + the greek goddess Artemis.

Why the bow and arrow? Well, as the goddess of the hunt, Artemis had much different iconography than most goddesses of Greece. Her iconography was all connected to the wild, and specifically to her love of hunting. One of her most iconic attributes was the bow and arrow she carried, with which she was an expert shot.

The story of Artemis resembles to BiosanaPharma being an expert shot in biologics. Eventually the client wanted a more corporate and safe logo. But I still think the concept and idea of this logo was quite nice, right!?
